1.6L Petrol Ecu Remapping Or Chipping?

I see some people fitted Tuning chips, but apparently its more useful for diesal cars, as for petrol, not much boost.

But anyways, my question is, is it worth it? For a natrual aspirated cars? By either remapping or chipping? AND will it easily removed/undetectable when go in for service?

I love the idea of modification either performance or economy BUT hate the idea that it will void the warranty <- my biggest concern.

Thanks

For what little gain you will get its not realy worth the expense.then you have to think about the effect on your insurence.tunit and the like are very easy to remove/replace.

if you have a petrol you cant remap or chip the standard ecu...and if you could it isnt easy to remove either

So chipping or remap only applies mostly to turbo cars from what i see...oh well, cause I wanted to improve the fuel economy of my car atleast~

But what other possible tuning can be done on a petrol version? but also not risking the insurance/warranty?

your supposed to report any mods to your car to your insurence co, including any done by previous owner/s if purchased s/hand.
