Has anyone had their sat nav take them on a merry go round and take you miles off course? or is your sat nav unit reliable? if it is reliable which Sat Nav unit do you have ? Aftermarket or factory fitted?

I have a portable Tom Tom with a suction mount that works great. Although sometimes the nice lady says "Bear right" or "Bear left", and so far I've never seen the bear.

I've had Toyota systems in my cars since my 2002 Avensis. Never have they put a foot wrong!

I occasionally disagree with either part or all of the initial route, but as I know the difference between north and south the nice young lady in the dashboard has never done me wrong. Neither does she argue which is nice!

If I'm visiting #2 Son north-east of Nottingham, she insists on sending me up the M1/a46 but after about 2 miles on the M11 she agrees with me that m11/a1/a52 is a better route and chamges her mind, which is good in a female

I've a Binatone Carrera With Nokia works.

Cheap, very, but does it's job.

Main problem is Battery capacity. I keep it permanently on charge, & the fact that updates aren't available & won't be.

Aha! But can you beat Euro50 on sale in Argos, Kingo? :yahoo: AND some sort of traffic warning system which doesn't work here, thrown in for good measure

Who cares? Something for nothing :toast:
