Hi all!

I don't know if you usually post introductory presentations of yourself, but I'll do it anyway.

I've owned quite a few cars since I got my drivers license back in 1985, and most of them were junk. Some were fun, but still junk (such as my Renault 4 and SAAB 96). Back in 2000 I was commuting between Uppsala and Kista in Sweden in an old Mazda 323 (from 1986) - commuting by train was cheaper, but added two hours of travel time each day. The old Mazda of course broke down totally one day, and I decided to get a new car. I settled for this Skoda Octavia 1.6 SLXi Elegance:

It is a really nice car (I still own it), but after getting a new employer where I had to travel more in the line of business I decided to get a new car - another Skoda (Octavia II 2.0 TDI Elegance DSG):

This new Skoda was a great car in many ways - more comfortable, low fuel consumption and it looked better. I owned it from since it was new in 2007 to until two weeks ago. The main reason I wanted to get rid of it was that the AC broke down and the warranty was gone - that cost me a smaller fortune to fix, and I hate when cars start doing that. So I went looking for another car.

Since my kids are almost grown up, and I still have the old Skoda, I went looking for a small car and found out about the IQ. It doesn't really make any sense since it's so small and cost quite a lot, but I wanted it. I found a demo car not too far from where I live, went there and traded in my Skoda!

The above image shows my IQ with mud flaps I just mounted :)

And this image shows the IQ with my newly created dent in the passenger door (and the old Skoda in the background). I hate the dent, but at least I no longer have to worry about the first damage ... Unfortunately I'll have to wait another six weeks to get the door fixed :/

Anyway - that's me. I got here since pretty much all IQ:s in Sweden are run as company cars, and the Swedish Toyota club is only interested in Supras, Celicas and such. I live in Uppsala which is the fourth largest city in Sweden, and have not yet seen another privately owned IQ ...

Thank you! The IQ forum seems to be at least a bit alive here. In Sweden pretty much all IQs are covered in foil and advertisments - everyone has to drive a Volvo estate. To be fair there are quite a lot of the triplets though (aygo, C1, 107), but they are too ugly and not very special, so I never even considered them...
