1.4 D-4D - Egr

Howdy,

Just a quick one - I did search but it only delivered T/SR180 results.

Does the 1.4 D-4D have an EGR valve?

It's my understanding that most cars do these days, so stands to reason that our Auris does.

Assuming it does, how would i go about cleaning it? Is it even remotely similar to the T180?

I have some time tomorrow so was going to have a tinker, so a heads up would be good if anyone knows.

Thanks in advance.

Rich.

Yeah it does; AFAIK all the D4D engines do...

The procedure is fairly similar between engines, but I swear there was a thread on here about it recently (As usual can't find it for the life of me!)

Thanks Cyker.

I can find EGR threads, but they seem to relate to the T180/SR180.

I'll go have a bit of a peruse I think, thanks again for the reply. :)

it is and it isnt......it is coolant cooled and slightly more akward to remove....tbh their hasnt been much problems with the 1.4's blocking/sooting up..a good high rev thrashing normally sorts them out..
