Rav 4 Missfire Problems

hi all,I have a 2002 rav 2.0 petrol auto, from cold it starts and runs fine, after approx 1 mile the auto transmission oil temp light and engine management light come on and the engine stops,it wont restart untill it has cooled down.then runs untill warm and same problem.

I have scanned the computer no error codes come up,have also changed the crank shaft sensor and temp sensor in the head.

the car will tick over for an hour with no problem,it now seems that if driven with light pressure on the throttle it is a bit better, but if you push the peddle sharply the engine management light flickers and it wants to stall.

any ideas greatly recieved.

regards mike

See if you can lift the wiring loom back from the gearbox area - it sometimes rubs through and causes a short.
