Air Filter Change

Help required. I have a 2003 Celica VVTI which requires a replacement air filter cartridge. Can anyone advise on the correct procedure - the air cleaner assembly looks fairly complex with a number of wire and tube connections to the top cover which is retained by 2 spring loaded clips.

Hi Don and welcome to T.O.C.

Its been a while since I changed mine as I have a K&N. From memory, all you have to do is loosen the jubilee clip with a phillips to slip off the large air intake pipe, along with a few spring loaded clips. This allows you to lift the top of the plastic enough to remove and replace.
