he, iv just bought a toyota celica gt, total newbie to these kinda cars, i was just wondering how to find out the exact model of my car, when iv been lookin for parts etc it seems there's a fair few different types. when i bought it, it was listed as toyota celica gt, iv notice that there is a gt4 that looks the same but parts are different, the more i search the more confused im getting, lol.i tried to look at vids on youtube which didnt help either, i typed a search for my model and the cars that were showing were different, mostly in the engine bay. i will describe my car as much as i can to help with id, hope someone can help, cheers

shows as - toyota celica gt

has a 2L engine

says on engine block "2000 twin cam"

manual transmition

no air-con

production date 1997 r- reg

on the right dials it has only 2 gauges showing temp and fuel

sorry if im a bit vague i know nothing about these kinda cars(just now!) i just really need to know if this is a gt or a gt4 and if it is a turbo version or not!

thanks in advance for any help

If it helps, a normally aspirated 2.0GT is an ST202.

Turbo charged GT4 is an ST205.

Does it mention either of these two designations on the Chassis No.?

I'm sure Bryan (Old Red) will be able to give you more info.

You've got a non turbo UK Spec Celica GT.

173BHP, Front wheel drive.

Only GT-Fours are Turbo and are also 4WD.
