Avensis Immobiliser Reset Help

i brought a lemon so it seems, i viewed this car 1 day, it started ok, though the idle was running high for a min then ticked over nice. the rad fans didnt work so we diagnosed that the temp sensor was duff because when we unplugged this the fans worked. i needed these to work as to drive home the next day when i collect it.

next day i payed the man, flipped the bonnet and unplugged the fan sensor. tried to start car but had v low Battery power as fans were running immediatly.

reconnected sensor and tried to start car. it seems to want to start but cuts out immediatly. it will fire for about 1-2 seconds.

i have googled many theories and found some say its the immobiliser cutting the fuel pump, some say its the ignition barrel. is there a way i can fix this without an expensive fault finding computer?

extra info : we disconnected Battery over night for a recharge. no help,

tried resyncing the keys, no help. (though unsure if method was correct)

diconnected Battery, opened driver door, put key to ON in ignition, reconnected battery, no help.
