Help Please! Car Won't Start (Keyless)

Basically the car says "press the clutch" even though the pedal is to the floor! I can unlock the doors, pressing the engine start key lights up the dash and the nav comes on etc...but no matter what I do with the clutch I get the same message saying press the clutch! :censor:

It's happened a few times and unlocking and locking etc via key and door many times has cured it but now my car is parked in the drive on a hill facing down, and blocking other cars!

Make sure there are no mats under the clutch pedal. Other than that, I would check the clutch pedal microswitches.

Thanks anchorman. I take it they are at the top of the clutch pedal? Behind the plastic? Does the plastic clip off?

I feel like such a fud! You were right mate, the floor mat was wedged under the clutch pedal! What a pillock lol

Ain't it grand when the solution is simple as well as no cost(apart from that to ones ones pride)

Yeah i'm over the moon, I was ****eing it for a while thinking this is going to be an expensive repair, i will have to call a recovery truck to get it out the drive, shouldnt have bought this car etc etc!
