Exhaust Manifold

Done a few searches looking for this so, apologies if i have missed an answer somewhere, don't want the mod's getting on my back after all!

I've just bought an exhaust manifold, with no o2 sensor hole (was in the description of the item) (for my 03 TSport)

I'm not really mechanically minded and would like to learn what i can, just wondering if it would cause damage to the engine or give problems if i fitted it without the o2 sensor, my immediate guesses are yes. What would be a solution?

Without an O2 sensor the engine will not run.

If you've bought a manifold without a o2 hole you'll need to make one.

Thanks, i've not looked at the standard manifold yet but is it just a case of getting a bung put on it? a threaded hole for the sensor to be screwed into? does it matter where it's put?

Its best to have the lambda as close to the same location as possible that it would be on the stock manifold.

Probably best to have a proper threaded bung hole welded into it.

Does anyone have the nut size off the top of their head because i'm a lazy so and so and haven't looked yet...
