I recently bought a 2007 Avensis 2.0 D4D T4, and reading the manual it shows that some versions of this car have OMMS Oil maintenance manegement system. How do I find out if my car has this fitted?

Thanks in adavance.

The service schedule pushes the oil change out to 24 months if OMMS is fitted to the ADT250 engine. The multi function display shows the spanner symbol and the message initialising when the ignition is switched on, but I'm not sure if this indicates that my car is fitted with OMMS. Can anyone help?

All Avensis have the OMMS, it's just software. You can reset the oil warning by pressing and holding the ODO button while turning on ignition. Hold for another 10 seconds after ignition is on. (dont start).

How often you'd want to chang oil is more or less up to you, but to keep warranty/extended warranty, please use interval specified by your Toyota import.
