Just purchased some Goodyear Assurance flat Wiper Blades for our Mazda 2 and Toyota Auris from Costco. Advanced coating to protect rubber and provide silent wiping. £ 5.69 plus VAT (£ 6.83 including VAT) for one blade in any size between 16 and 26 inches. £ 13.66 for a pair. Made in USA.

Have yet to fit them (will fit them to the Mazda tomorrow) - but first impressions are that they seem very good quality.

Quite obviously, I haven't commented on performance. My first impressions were based on perceived quality - how the blades look and feel when out of the box, the finish, etc. For under £ 7 per blade I've got a branded wiper blade that seems better finished than the current Trico blades fitted to our Mazda 2.

are they flat or standard ones? I bought Valeo flat blades 6 months ago. They looked good but after 6 months the driver side one is ready to bin.

Personally I've never been overly impressed with "flat" blades for the extra cost and always have and do use "conventional" blades which last just as long, if not longer, and are as efficient at clearing the screen. However, less than £7/blade is good if they work well.

Unfortunately we all don't have access to Costco.

hard to believe as on Saturday it appears the whole city population is there. I haven't seen flat Wiper Blades in my local Costco branch thou. Must check again.
