Previa Gl 2.4 Auto - Help!

Hello!

Ive just joined today and im after some help, rather that physically going to Toyota and potentially spending mass amounts of money on diagnostic testing i thought first point of call would be you lot, hopefully someone can help me!

I own a Previa 1998 2.4 GL Auto 69000 on the clock, the issue i have is that i went to start her up last night and basically she didnt, she wasnt in gear correctly so went through the gears one by one and back to park, anyway this worked all was good! : )

This morning though it happened again and after much back and forth going through the gears she will not start :(

I cant figure out for the life of me whats wrong, shes has only recently had a MOT and passed with flying colours!

Does anyone have a rough ideaof whats going on?

T doubt the MOT would have anything to do with it.

I had a similar problem with my Hilux Surf. Are you sure the gearbox is selecting park? Is the engine attempting to turn over?

Gearbox cables need adjustment or inhibitor switch which stops vehicle starting in gear needs repacing
