General Front Headlight Fault

Has any UK Avensis T3x auto (2004 make) owner ever suffered from both front headlight assemblies burning out with the same fault and at the same time whereby the car would fail the MOT test? If you have had this problem then did Toyota pay for the fault repair or was it counted as general wear and tear?

yes it was a very common problem and toyota did extend the warranty....but your is out of the extension

If you need to replace the headlight units I've just done this and bought two units off eBay from Wing Mirror Women at £49.99 each, around half price. Replacement takes around 2.5 hours.
