Just look at this......

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...&category=38786

another one for the Max Power Squad I think. I particularly like this part of the description

This is the same device used by big movie companies when they want a normally aspirated car to sound heavily turbo-charged (you really think they are going to spend all that extra time and money turbocharging every car on the set)?! When a movie is made, there are at least 10-20 replicas of the same car, this would cost a big part of their budget (apprx.£35,000£50,000)so they use  turbo whistlers for back-up cars and get the same turbo spool sound for action packed scenes.

Just how many films need Turbo charged car sounds?? Is it critical to the film's plot? More importantly will the viewer even know what a turbocharged car sounds like?

Utter tosh!

Errrr . . the sound could just be dubbed on the film later couldn't it ? No need to record it happening 'live'.

Anyway gotta go - I've got tickets for tonights preview of 'Lord of The Rings - The 2 Turbos'

yes, it would be added later as mentioned... would sound particularly BAD live from a fake turbo don't you think?

Regards to how many films want/need that turbo sound now... quite a lot by the looks of things.

F&F, 2F2F, Italian job, biker boys, more rubbish like this, etc

hollywood is a shambles.

thinking about this....

serious questions need to be raised about the mental state of anyone who would want their n/a saxo to sound like a turbo.... who are you fooling but yourself?

Warning.... don't underestimate Reliant Robins!.... I was in the old Volvo a few months back (with its mighty 60hp engine) and I was actually undertaken by a RR. I changed down put my foot to the floor, but could make no progress at all, in fact he gained and successfully undertook me!! If that wasn't bad enough, just to rub salt into the wound, not long after (on the same day believe it or not!!) Ryan came bombing past in his old Red MR2..... I tried to keep up, just to see the REV6 lights properly, but having just found it impossible to keep up with a RR it was a no hoper.
