Hi everyone this is for all of you who get annoyed by the seat belt beep and warning I am a taxi driver and by law I don't have to wear my seat belt if I chose not to only if I have passenger's on board! but otherwise I have to so please use your seat belt as its the law and your own safety ok here goes get under your drivers seat or passenger seat from the rear to disable under the seat you will see a small white connector in the middle clipped on to the underside of the seat just disconnect and your done check to see you have taken the right one off by turning the car on you will have no seat belt warning on the dash and enjoy the no beeping I have had this done for a few days and so far no problems but please do this at your own risk!!? And remember the LAW!!

Putting a seatbelt on is so much of a habit now that I notice it if it's not on regardless of the beep...

I'd rather wear a seatbelt than hit the steeeing wheel or go through the windscreen!

Doesn't disconnecting the sensor also disable the airbag for that seat ?

Only for taxi drivers and yes safety is first and if the airbag is disconnected then the airbag light will be on.

The alternative 'software' method of disabling the beeps still gives the visible reminder (for other drivers who might use the car) and also avoids issues when car goes in for servicing. It also takes seconds to enable and disable.
