Help With Paseo Factory Anti-theft System Please

Hello, I just bought an used 96' Paseo and I see that it has a stock "anti-theft" alarm in it, but I'm having trouble getting it to work. I have tried all the directions in the owners manual, and I have checked all the fuses, but this thing still wont work. The indicator light wont light up, so I'm wondering if the previous owner had the system disconnected. If you have any advice, or know of anything else to check to get this thing to work, I would really appreciate it. Thanks for your time.

Are the battery's dead in the hand-set? It should be the TVS alarm thingy which Toyota told me was a CAT1.

I know people have had problems with the range on the remotes. May need re-programming? :unsure:
