Hello Tony,I know you will be welcome in THE CLUB :thumbsup:

If a search is done there is plenty of info re keys on site.

I bought my last key from a certain shoe repairers on the high st beginning with "T"

I took my key in and they were able to copy the chip in it.

That I think was just for the imobiliser

Hope this helps

yes you're right .... you're guessing, so it could be that i finish off without having any key working!! :!Removed!:

i have been around in the forum nearly all day yesterday to find some help and advice, however all the 'helpers' are reluctant to divulge such information, it seems

strange, but, everyone likes a commission in his pocket every now and then and it's a pity most forums these days are being used in such a way rather than to genuinely help people....

will keep posting the outcome when i have the 2nd hand key in my hands

still hoping for some direction from a genuine expert here :help:

cheers :D

Could be due to security issues,or peeps dont consider, although there are some very knowledgable members, they are not "experts" mmm?? and do not wish to put themselves forward as such!

Just MY opinion,of course

When I had my Mk1 RAV it had a separate fob to activate the locks.

I bought a spare fob from fleabay and I think progamming it invovled removing a panel by the pedals on the trans tunnel and gaining access to a control unit and establising a link to between the fob and unit.

I'm a little hazy on this and it may not apply to the later models with the key/fob combi.

Perhaps someone can clarify this?

If it helps I have this on paper (somewhere) and will forward this to you if someone can confirm it applies.
