Hi, everyone. You know the grey side trims that run down the side of the car, i've painted mine black to blend in with the car a bit more but does anyone know if these can be removed. I had a peak behing but it looked like there was an indentation, i dared to go further incased i snapped the plastic. Anyone know whats behing there, can it be filled by a bodtshop? cheers everyone for a wicked resource site. tobs

Toby,

Whitestarlet is right, there are indentations down the car the same as the front and rear bumper. I know because I have taken mine off!!!

Not sure bout the bodywork as I didn't get that filled in, but the bumper: The centre section of the indentation is slightly raised up, this rubbed down on both bumpers. Well more like ground down :P as my mate who did my bodywork used a small grinderette to get rid of the excess quicker!!!! Then the indentations were metal welded, once set rubbed down and then filled and rubbed down again!!!!

The reason we took out some of the centre section of the indentation was because, we thought it came out slightly further than the face of the bumper!!!

Hope this helps

Nath

Hi all. well i took mine off and it is a nightmare to get the glue off the car!!!!i reckon it took about an hour each side to get it off.the strip came off easy enough but the glue which was left was a pain.

geocool how did you cut your bumper sp there were no vents at the front, i.e a big open space between where you've cut the ridges out? I did'nt mean the indentations on the bumper but the strips on the side. Can they just be removed, you know the ones we've painted black, or am i being a stoner?!?! tobs

sorry that didn.t make sense, if you look on geocool's car at the front, just under the number plate there is a large gap where the plastic ridges have been cut out, how did you do this???????? the grey strips on the side that he's painted black, how can these be take of. sorry to be so stupid toby!

Toby all you do for the side bit is pull it off. then you have to pull all the glue off with it. i got some special remove for doing this. it was made by auto gym i think
