Toyota Avensis 1998 Won't Start

Hi,

I first experiencedstarting January this year. I have a Toyota avensis 1.8gs auto. Back in January I resolved

I it by changing crankshaft sensor. Currently the car turns over but does not start. On the advice of mechanic bought a new crankshaft sensor for close to 100 pounds but still no joy. Mechanic reckons it is dcu problem which is forcing me to scrap. Can anyone help ? Or is it time to move on?

The car fires u for 2 secs before cutting out. Not immobiliser
