I've kept all the LED's I've removed in a little zip bag. :) I'll take a look at the power paths when I remove the unit and go from there.

For the iPod kit, I've got some 3mm solid core cable that I use for cable running. :)

The reason I asked about the 2 Red warning LED's is that they have a lower current rating than the blue ones and should be left as is or you might find the smt resistor feeding it may not be able to supply current to the new Blue ones as it would be under rated and heat up and eventually go open circuit

OK got around the problem with the advice of David. :) Cheers

The sneeky buggers swap two of the LED's around in the TNS510, but that wasn't the issue I had.

Do I bother with the dash? Or could I tempt someone to do it for me. ;)

I think tomorrows upgrade will be the interia light, both front and rear.

Did you want me to do it for you Dan? Its not a problem. If your doing the interior light up-grade and extending it to the rear, do you have the info of where to connect the floating socket. Its much better to do it that way so you don't have to solder extension in situ.

  • 1 month later...

I'm tempted to mail all my parts over for you to change out the LED's. Either that or I'm going to have to have a more steady hand for this job.

Amazing work as stated before.

When I first saw one oif those xB's riding around in LA, I fell in love with them. What a great little funky car! Shame the version that made it to the UK was under a poor manufacturer with an even worse engine. :(

Great looking car, shame you sold it, but number II will be much better. B)
