Decided to give the car a bit of a going over today as the weather was good and its time to think about a bit of protective wax on ready for winter .... Process was..

Spray Wheels with Autobrite Very Cherry wheel cleaner.

Spray wheel arches with Meguires G101 APC.

Foam all over with Autobrite Snow Foam and leave to dwell for 10 minutes while I foamed the Jag.

Good power wash of and dry with a large drying towel after spaying car with Meguires Last Touch detailing spray..

Quick clay with Sonus mild cut clay.

Machined the whole car with Meguires No 7 Glaze which has very little cut but adds oils to the paint and gives a fantastic finish IMO..

Blackfire Wet Diamond was the finish product.. I have only used this product 3 or 4 times but am very impressed with the shine and durability of it and it gives excellent flake pop...

Careful Charlie, I nearly gave away my identity while stopping to rest after polishing the red RAV;

Last week I started getting the Soul ready for winter. Clayed and polished the roof, bonnet then 2 coats of Jetseal 109;

Anchs when I wrote the post yesterday I was thinking of that picture you posted a few years ago,it must at the time been one of the most commented photos ever.( can you post the bit of film that you did regarding the Toyota recalls- remember that one!!!!).

Charlie I Googled Blackfire boy that is some expensive gear you,ve got there ( Polished Bliss came up at £80), a bit out of my range but it does look good.

Would think the interior is either Black leather or Black cloth with leather sides. I,ve seem one Vermillion Red Rav 4 on island, not many that colour about I would think.Who ever got that Rav got an absolute GEM!!!!

this Snow Foam. can you use a regular pressure washer or do you need the special attatchment? i have a Karcher that has the little pipe that you pop in the soap bottle and thus squirts the soap. Will this work the same with the SF

ps Mines as Red T180 too

Wardude, as far as I am aware and Charlie will correct me if I,m wrong, you need a special attachment to all pressure washers for the use of Snowfoam ( Snow lance I believe it is called)

Now Clare, no need to drag up that old cookie!

The interior is actually black Charlie - must be the reflections.

Mate it is as Clare says a different tool to the standard fit tube that is for sucking up TFR (Traffic film remover) Its called a Foam lance. You need to specify which Power washer You have when buying one so the right connection is supplied with it. You also need a 5 litre container of Snow Foam. I buy 25 litres at a time !!

Cost of lance is around 40 quid and 5 litres of Sow foam around 15 to 20 quid. As said I buy 25 litres for around 65 quid.

Best car cleaning tool You will ever buy !! I will find You a link if You like ??

Clare

It was Channel 4 but they edited what was a balanced opinion and made it look like I was totally slating Toyota. I've decided to only do interviews for quality media from now on like the News of the World or OK magazine :rolleyes:

http://www.polishedbliss.co.uk/acatalog/blackfire-all-finish-paint-protection.html

Blackfire All Finish Paint Protection is one of the very best synthetic paint sealants on the market today, and is used frequently in our studio. Incredibly easy to apply by hand or dual action machine, it delivers a jaw dropping finish characterised by pin-sharp reflectivity, excellent flake pop and a truly liquid-like level of glossiness. Like most synthetic polymer-based sealants, it falls down a little bit in terms of richness and beading strength, but more than makes up for this in terms of slickness and durability; in our experience, a lifespan of between three to four months per application on a daily driver is easily achievable. In terms of suitability, we favour using Blackfire All Finish Paint Protection on mid-tone metallic and pearlescent finishes, although in truth it delivers a great looking finish on most colours. Also worth pointing out is the fact that we really rate its use on ultra-soft paint finishes where maximum ease of use is paramount; no other last step product we stock buffs off as easily.

If You get one I will give You the heads up on dilution rates and how to get the best from the lance IE do not turn the thing up top maximum foam as You will gain nothing and just get through tons of the foam !! HTH

Probably because the folk who stock it don't use e-bay Clare. Why not order from Chemical Guys?

I believe Big Kev has had favourable dealings with them.
