Hi

I have a 2007 avensis d4d and noticed an oil stain on the drive. Had a look and turned out to be the passanger side shock absorber was leaking oil. So new front shocks at 45K miles. Rang round and my local toyota dealer was only about £50 more expensive than other places so stuck with Toyota as the dealer has always been really helpful. However when I got the car back there was a loud groaning when turning the wheel at low speed. A bit disconcerting at first but it was just the rubber between the springs and the strut needing to rebed in. All fine now and certainly noticed the difference as they had probably been losing oil for a while. I was a bit surprised they needed changing so early on but that is life I supppose.

Hope this helps

hi

thanks for that

think i need to replace both sides though so what kind of price should i expect :(

45k is low to have to change the suspension, mines on 101k and it just feels a bit softer than it did
