I find this site painfully slow at times. I'm better at engines than websites but wondered if it the advertising content loading - a lot of it is moving and I presume it loads cookies etc.

This site can be very slow and often crashes when trying to load up.... Only this site does it for some reason ???

Not had problems recently with the site crashing. When you start adding in google type ad links, then things will slow a little.

Invision have upgraded their software a couple of times recently I think, but I don't know which version TOC use.

However I may have a little advantage given I'm running a 20MB download speed and SSD hardware.

You should try approx 1.5mb....at the best of times....in our little village good job its only £20 a month for everything inc calls,line rental.

I don't usually have any problems with TOC site, occasionally it freezes when paging back but only rarely. If you want to see an example of a really crap site, try MCN. I stopped visiting as it was so bad. Could be better now as I've not been there for a year or more.
