Avensis Full Mapping Sat Nav

Does anyone know how to change the DVD in the full mapping sattelite navigation system on the 2003 Avensis?

It is under the front seat and I cannot see an eject button for the existing disc.

Any help would be appreciated.

I don't have satnav on mine, but I asked a friend of mine and here is his reply:

It's not obvious, but it's easy.

You've got to open the back door and there's a little sliding door on the left of the unit. Behind it there's a flat button. This is the eject.

Hope this helps!

Your reply was spot on. When the cover is removed it shows a slider with open on it. When this is moved to the right, a flap opens for the disc to eject and the area behind where the slider came from is an eject button. Not obvious unless someone with knowledge tells you. It also needs the ignition turned on to eject.

Thanks very much for your help and please thank your friend. I appreciate your help.

Incedently, for anyone else who is thinking of changing their disc, the DVD 2003/2004 version 1, for full map colour system does not show the new M6 toll road.
