Faulty Water Pump And Broken Exhaust

Recommended Posts

Posted

HI my family ownes a Toyota Aygo built in 2007 and it has done close to 68000Km and we have owned it since new just over four years.

In july the water pump failed just after we got back from a 500km trip and today the back box or the muffler ,what ever you want to call it,

fell off and when me and my dad looked under there we found out that the muffler had broken off from the weld.all attach photos with that.

for further question e-mail me at toomastelling@gmail.com

P.S:a toyota dealer said that there is recall that was something to do with the starter and starter leads

I believe WeeVickt had her backbox fall out from under the car too.

But I can't remember any other reports of this happening,

so I don't believe this is a really big problem...

The car IS 4 years old and the backbox is supposedly a "wear item"...

Yep; my poor wee car is on it's third exhaust and it is an 56 plate; shouldn't cost more than 90GBP for a new one. Unfortunately mine fell off in the third lane of the motorway in the middle of no where and had to roll to the imaginary hard shoulder

Wear and tear, I had a 4 year old focus that needed 3 wheel bearings and a new ABS unit, new disks and pads etc. Thats why when the aygo gets to 3 years and 45000 its going!
