Hi there everyone!

I've just got an Aygo Go! and i feel that the aygo could do with a sub to give the music a bit of quality. However, i am a bit reluctant to take my brand new car to pieces so just wondering if anyone else has done this? and what sub they used?

I was looking at putting a pioneer small sub under the passenger seat.

Cheers,

Mike

I have a Pioneer TS-WX11A in my Aygo and am VERY satisfied with it. Over the

last year or so I've put it in 6 or 7 other cars too and haven't heard any complaints.

The TS-WX11A has been superceeded by the TS-WX110A, but this is 90% the same;

I've done that one twice too. Under the Passenger seat is a perfect place for the sub.

Installation might seem daunting, but it's not as hard as you think: I only

need about 2,5hrs from removal of the first panel to refitting the last one...

Hi there,

So if I bought that sub what else would I need? Does it work fine with the original head unit?

Thanks

If you buy this particular sub you don't really need anything more.

To make your connections at the headunit easily reversible you could buy a ISO-extension lead,

so you can splice into THOSE wires instead of the exsiting ones of the car.

And of the remote wire you can tap into the switched +12V (ignition), but I prefer to

use a green mini-ISO plug and tap off of that (need to look up which pin), since then

the sub also powers up when you tune on the radio with the ignition off.

But other than those items you don;t need anything: the sub has its own wiring loom

that is long enough to reach the Battery and the radio and you get a lead to conect

to the speakerwires with it too, so you don;t need any convertors either.

I'm hooking up number 7 or 8 tomorrow. Only on a Sony Head Unit, since that's allready in the car.

Thanks for your help.

I was just a bit concerned as to wether it would work with the orignal head unit. Where abouts do you live in the UK?

would you know why a 15 inch sub wouldnt work with an aygo head unit? it seems to cut out over a certain volume like its being overpowered. the sub is loud, but i turn it really low, cos i want a bit of bass more than anything else. even when its at oits lowest it still has problems ...how much was urs? sounds like it was an easy installation :)

I currently have a 2 x 600w subs in the boot and trust me there is no room for anything else in there apart from the amp which was a shark 1500v which blew up so needed to replace is with a 500v.
