its usually a very difficult job on most cars because its so embedded inside the dashboard.

Have you tried to use radiator sealant to see if you can cure the leak using an additive instead of having to undertake major trauma?

I have managed to remove the faulty matrix and replace without too much trouble, with a slight modification. It now works without steaming the windows up and saved me £731.00 if a garage did it. If any wants to know let me know.

Using any leek stop liquid only works for a week or so.

How did you know it was leaking in the first place?

I have a 2003 D-4D, heaters playing up, sometimes come on blow hot and then blow cold air. Very random at first, but lately not coming hot at all.

Took it in and they changed the thermo, but no change.

maybe it's my matrix.

will i see fluid leaking somewhere?
