Hi,

Well finally the time is coming to pick up my daughters birthday present.

I used to be a vehicle technician years ago and want to add some electrical items to the car but does anyone know whether its standard wiring or based on the cambus?

Thanks,

DAve.

The only implementation of CANbus in our cars concerns the engine AFAIK.

Allmost all other systems are hardwired, wthout electronics in between.

Anything specific you want to hook up?

hi,

Yes I'm looking at hooking up a intelli-light kit that turns the lights on automatically when it starts to get dark or in tunnels.

I used to work for clifford electronics and have an intellilight kit still.

Depending on how the kit works you should be able to hook up at the lightswitch (left stalk).

If the kit bridges the original switch with an internal relay you can simply hook up.

When the kit provides power to the circuit you can use the signal for the sidelights without any problems,

but you need to use a relay to bypass the switch for the headlamps, as these are switched on the NEGATIVE side!
