Driving Seat Position

Hi all,

About 6 months ago I took my Yaris in for a service and since then I have struggled to find my old driving position in terms of the backrest. I'm stuck between two settings (one feels a bit too reclined and the other feels a bit too upright. I have long legs so have the seat as far back as possible.

Do you have any tips for the ideal backrest position? I have seen tips such as straightening your arm out and the wrists should be touching the top of the wheel. Is this recommended?

I'm almost changing it on a daily basis, I think I must be going slightly mad!

Make sure your lower back (lumbar) is well supported. There should be a slight bend in your arms when you're holding the wheel and obviously you should be able to reach all controls. That's the idea anyway!

If you're old, make sure your nose touches the windscreen, and if you're a chav, the peak on your baseball cap should be at right angles to the roofline.
