Please can any one tell me how to remove the silver trim at the side of the head unit without breaking them :yahoo:

also it says in the book supplied with the dvd that I need to connect a wire to the handbreake switch so I can't watch dvd's on the move(but it does not say + or -)has any one any idea ?? or does it not matter ??

Thanks Alan

The silver trim literally just levers off, Alan, and on recommendation I bought a trim removal tool on eBay, but a properly masked and padded screwdriver will do in an emergency....easy does it obviously.

Your current unit is well secured in place by 4 either 8mm or 10mm hex bolts (very short), two top and two bottom. The bottom two are well recessed, and the game I played was not to drop them down the heater vent channel....failed miserably.

After that, strong fingers required to pull off the Toyota multi-plugs supplying the unit, and that's you...

Techy Kev

Next time Kev, put a small ball of Blu-Tac inside your socket. Not Guaranteed but usually works
