Dipstick?

Just been having a look at our Ravs engine bay,and just been checking the engine oil level.

I noticed that the dipstick we have is the one with the two dots on.

Now according to the manuel ours should be the one with the two straight lines across.

Our engine is the petrol VVTI 1AZ-FE type.

So does this matter to the oil level or is it ok??

Paul. Pound to a pinch of ..... Says they are exactly the same and just the way they are marked is the only difference...... Fair play for spotting that though !!

Our 02-reg 5-dr has dots & the 54-reg 3-dr has lines. Otherwise they are identical. I reckon it may just depend upon when your manual was printed.
