Noisey Power Steering

I took delivery of my new Avensis D4D on 9 March by the 17th we returned it to the dealer with a grinding noise coming from the power steering. Was told that toyota were aware and that it was a factory problem on only diesel model and toyota were working on a fix but had not yet released a part. 2 days later steering started juddering and noise got louder returned car back to dealer for repair. so now without new car and still waiting for a part.

:cacker: Anyone else had same problem

i thought this was an issue on earlier models, there has been an TSB for it for a while, only current problem with Avensis, and dont worry, after a fix, you will be good to go.

Still without car.

Dealer is saying that the cogs in the power steering motor are too small therefore not connecting.

Spoke to toyota they're telling me no fix is available yet and i've just got to wait.
