Hi all, I've had my Avensis for approximately 3 years and just recently found this site while searching for something else. I live in North East England. Near Middlesbrough. I note from reviews on this site that my local Toyota Dealership gets a very mixed rating regarding after sales service etc. It certainly puts you off buying Toyota when their representatives in your area score so badly. I,m a great believer in researching before buying and set great store by other peoples experiences and believe in giving credit where it,s due ie. when good service has been worth a mention. I occasionally tow a smallish caravan with my 2 litre diesel Avensis and find it a good solid tow car which gives very good mpg, Towing or otherwise. Does anybody else have one they tow with?

I would like to mention a couple of problems I have just had and ask if anybody has had any gearbox problems with their cars unrelated to towing. I will do this on a separate posting shortly so look out for canberra_27 cos that's me.
