Immobiliser Reset

Hello, Have another thread on an Avensis that won't start. Car is a 1998, 7A-FE engine. Is there a procedure to fully reset the immobiliser of any faults? Followed the Autodata instructions, but to no avail! Also, would running a 5v feed to the coil multi-plug signal wire bypass the system or cause any detrimental effects? Thanks, GM
