Hello is the noise like a intermittent ticking noise when you accel/decelerate. If so the same was happening to mine a week ago and when you touched the clutch pedal it went. If this is the same noise i changed the clutch slave cylinder it cost me 24 quid from a local motor factors and took 2 hours to do, due to where it is mounted. Touch wood there has been no problem since. Hope this helps.

It sounds like the clutch bearing imho too! This is sometimes covered in manufactuers warranties....I know Vauxhall/Opel offered it with their cdti engines. Don't know about Toyotas. You would know if it was your DMF cause you would notice severe vibration in 1st and second gear....you don't want to go there! hahaha

Good Luck

This sounds like a DMF problem to me. Does it sound like a dustbin spinning round full of nuts and bolts?

A classic sign of DMF is a loud rattling noise that goes when the clutch is pressed in.
