Hi guys,

Just thought I'd tap into some collective Toyota knowledge and figure out how to connect my iPod to the Sat Nav Stereo unit in my T4 D-4D. I've taken a look at eBay and found the following:

My Sat Nav looks like this & I'm keen to take suggestions about how to hook up my iPod Nano. I'm sure plenty of you have done this before (no AUX In in the arm rest sadly!) and hopefully 1 of the adapters/kits listed is suitable. Thanks for your help!

I've been looking around for that too, but can't seem to find it - any links to a website that sells them?

I've got an official toyota ipod connected to this unit,it works well but acts like a cd changer and its not easy to select tracks

It plugs into the cd changer port in the back of the unit, you only get a choice of six "disks" on the screen which on allows you to select the first six playlists on your ipod, but you can still pick what you want on the ipod its self so not a real problem

Right now I've got a Kenwood Stereo in my Astra with an AUX In input - would this be easier and cheaper to install or should I just go for the full on iPod connection? I really don't mind either way

Hoping that someone can help me with my new ipod integration kit....just fitted by the dealreship but it often does not 'find' the ipod (80gb classic but have tried with my son's iTouch and that doesnt work either). I have to unplug and plug in again to get it to see it.....bit difficult when driving!

Is it a fault with the intstallation or a design feature :)

Cheers Rob.

I'm having trouble finding the user "Kingo" on the Members' List - is there a link to his profile so I can drop him a quick message? And RobAWasp - how much did you pay at Toyota?

It does not say about 4s compatibility.

Has anybody fitted any of these kit (links by OP) or toyota kit, which is compatible with iPhone 4s?

Cheers.

Does your system have bluetooth. If so connect that way. That's what I have done. I also bought a car charger but as yet i have never needed to use it.

Hi Paul, Seems to be working better lately - have contacted the dealer and they have suggested dropping it back for them to have a look but just haven't had time yet.

AM4N - I think it was just under £300 (it's a company car and managed to get the lease company to pay for it somehow!). It is a lot of money but will be doing 25 - 30k miles a year so it was going to be worth it even if I had to pay myself.
