You need to remove the stereo and then you can access the bolts that hold the top of the dash in place and the air vents.

Very easy to do.

Out of interest, why do you need to remove the hazard switch? Is it faulty?

Thanks for that but I have the nav unit and have no idea how to remove that. the reason for changing is that the old one has faded and its gone pink so would like to replace..

If you're replacing anyway, I suggest installing black one! Looks cool IMO

mine was replaced under warranty due to it popping apart when i was checking it was ok.

the chap just brought a new one out to my car in the dealers carpark and removed it with piece of small thin metal,a bit like a small knife.he protected the dash with piece of cloth so as to noy mark the dash then unplugged the harness.

then fitted the new one.done a matter of seconds.

Going by Daveys statement, no.

I haven't checked (not needed to) but i would expect the back of the button to wider than the gap to prevent it popping out.

You will damage the button, dash or both if you just try to prise it out.

Removing the top of the dash is pretty easy but you need to be patient and not overly forceful when removing plastic trim.

Just follow this guide until step two. When you'll manage to remove the top ventilator, it will be easy to remove the switch...

IT is not wider at the bottom it just clips in from the top.if you had read my earlier posting you will see i watched the man reove it from the top.he prised it out from each side bit a a time.the tool was wrapped with a piece of cloth to save any damage.cant think of any switch that cant be removed without a stripout.yet there may be some, but not in this case.If the switch was clipped from the back and was pushed to hard when being used then it would be possible it would disappear into the dash.
