Rev Conter Stopped Working For No Reason

Hi all. As the title suggests really! I've not had the car long and really enjoying driving it. This is the only thing on the whole car thats not working - how annoying! It used to work fine, and then one day without any warning it didn't! I've had the clocks out and the connections on the back are all good. I would really appreciate it if someone could point me in the right direction.

Nobody got any ideas? I can't believe no-one else has ever had this happen!

Just in case this helps anyone. It turned out to be the actual rev counter gauge in the dash that was the problem. I got a replacement complete dash pod from a scrapyard, which I then seperated and removed the rev counter and fitted to mine.
