I go through front tyres every 20k miles! At £70 inc vat and fitting a corner, the nasty looking 15 inch rims are for me :) They also help absorb curbs! B)

Yes, much better than the £150 a go for the T4 and T-Spirit. Mind you mine were changed at just over 55,000, although I think yours would last a lot longer if you weren't cabbying.

And no steering columns so far.

I guess that the money spent on an extended warranty would be a good gamble, given the steering column history and the obvious lack of faith that Toyota have in the early Prius IIIs

GC, I forgot to add, try the Michelin Energy Savers next time. On the old Gen II, the front tyres are at around 65,000 miles with 3-4mm of tread left. Way better than the original Michelin Primacy, and noticeably quieter as well.
