Verso Problems

I said to myself `I spoke too soon` when I heard a noise as I waited for my wife to finish work at the hosital where shes a nurse.

I had the window slightly open and with a sinking heart heard a rattling as the engine was ticking over which sounded loud as though it was echoing off the adjacent building, reving it slighly made no difference to the level or frequency.

It was dark so I didn`t get out to investigate but started making plans as to when I could take it to the dealer for repair.

As I waited I remembered I`d heard the noise before and decided it must have to be something to do with the exhaust.

!Removed! typical I thought and switched the car off............ the noise was still there????????

I`d only parked beside the hospital ventilation extractor !

I had a similar experience with our Verso. Shortly after collecting it I had the most annoying rattle from somewhere, the strange thing was it didn't happen during the test drive...

Turned out to be the watch strap on my new watch!

`I don`t believe it` I said to myself yesterday when I heard a bleeping accompanied by a warning symbol on the dash after pulling away from the traffic lights, What now ????

I was deliberating as to switching off the engine to see if it would reset or head off home in case it didn`t........ Then I saw the message about the handbrake !!!!!

I hadn`t fully released it, wot a plonka, I`m definately getting worse !

I do know where this sense of insecurity and unreliability stems from, my 2.7d Jag, not that it was very unreliable but it did tend to have a few issues that have obviously had a lasting effect on me (a bit like waiting for the hammer to fall)

heard a tinny vibration in the yaris the other night and my first thoughts were , so much for reliability < turned out to be the empty can of cream soda i had in the drivers cupholder under the airvent as it is a drawer type holder and the can wasnt fitting snuggly it was rattling during tickover i just pushed the drawer in with the can still in place and the noise stopped < and the paranoia lol
