Oil Meter Won't Rise To Normal Level?

i've got a 94 4wd (22r) toyota pu. the oil level meter on the dash will rise but only to the L thats it. when i drive on the highway it is still at the L level. i've check my oil and its full. i don't think this is normal? please help me. thanks.

i'd bet the sending unit on the block went bad

cuz it's virtually impossible to get that low of pressure with a 22r/e oil pump

unless you take out the relief valve piston

but i spose if the lower end bearings were completely wasted...

i think you'd be hearing bad piston slap or piston hitting hed or sumthing

test/replace sender...
