hi ive a 1.8 avensis on a 06 plate.when i turn the ignition key to the position before the car starts ie when the dash lights up i can hear a odd clicking sound coming from the bonnet of the car.im thinking its coming from the abs pump.then if i pull away at slow speeds i can hear it again.then it does not repeat this noise until i stop the car and go through the start up process again.is this normal or is something wrong hope someone can help......

According to Toyota, I quote:- When the ignition is switched on or engine started or a few seconds afterwards a clicking or motor sound may be heard. This indicates that the ABS is in self-check mode and does not indicate a malfunction unless the ABS light on the dash fails to go out.
