Hi,

To cut a VERY long story short we had a cylinder head replaced and had some missing seals etc causing oil leaks. That has all been rectified but there was a lot of oil getting deposited into the water bottle. Thought it was contamination from the leaking seals and just kept clearing it out, figured that now the leaks have stopped if i keep clearing out and flushing the system it would be ok. We have been advised that it is the oil cooler and the oil is leaking into the water and not the other way round, it is starting to clog up the rad and causing it to start to over heat but once it has been cleared it is fine again.

Can anybody advise if they have had this problem before or heard of this before and if it is the oil cooler. I have checked and the part is dealer only and before i fork out £345 i would just like some advise. Vehicle was not checked out by toyota!

Thanks

S
