Instrument Panel Lighting Is Rather Dull

Hi all, my first post.

Just picked up my new 1.6 TR MM. I find, in daylight, the instrument panel is rather dull. With my old 2008 TR MM the optitron dash was quite bright in the daytime and dimmed down when you put the lights on (night mode). With this new one (non-optitron), there is no backlight to the four analogue dials (fuel,temp,speed,revs) in daylight and they can be difficult to see in some situations, eg. sun shining. Increasing the light intensity of the dash only affects the night mode.
