Rav 4 T180

Hi All

Well I'm new to this forum but I thought i'd share this information.....................

I have just brought my Rav 4 2007 T180............Lovely car just what I was looking for dealer even dropped it off where I work. I drove it home used it the weekend great.

On Monday went to work CHECK VCR & 4X4 display came on, contacted my dealer he said pop it into Toyota for a diagnosis, no problem i'll pay. So booked it in lovely man really helpful. After 40 mins he returns and says "we have found the fault, code p2002 you need a new engine" You can imagine, after he picked me up off the floor..................................He said it's ok as long as there is a decent service history I.e serviced regularly then it will be covered under warranty. He checked the service book and thank goodness the service history was perfect. He ordered me a new engine and after 3 weeks it arrived. It took them 5 days to complete the change and they even gave me a brand new Yaris to use in the meantime FOC....i

cannot thank Toyota and the dealer enough.Well done all.................Everything is guaranteed for 1 YEAR what more could i have asked for............................

Lovely looking car, and I'm absolutely sure Range Rover and Land Rover would have done the same thing....oh look....another flying pig squadron passed my window.....

Hi again Vanda, glad you found your way to the bestest section and everything turned out fine with your new wheels.

You will soon get used to that old smoothie Big Kev and learn to take some of his utterances with a pinch of salt.

This is a story with a happy ending, well done Wanda!

I have a 2AD engine in my T180 (06 year, 55k) but no problem.....true sometimes the DPF system works visibly, then I don't look in the rear view mirror.

It goes even faster today because it has the roof rails and bars on it. Thanks "Parts King" John.

No everything 2AD engine poor.
