Hi all

Some of you may have seen my post about Liverpool Victoria not recognising my car properly.

Just want to ask if anyone else with this model has difficulty with insurance details?

I have just bought a 2007 Avensis 2.2 Diesel T4hatchback and insurance say no t4s made in 2007 so must be 2006. and cert says 2006. I have sent loads of proof including a letter from Toyota (GB) stating date of production 27 November 2007 - to no avail.

So please, could anyone with this model check whats on their insurance certificate.

Thank you

Jim

I had the same problem with my T180 with LV! It came up with my car being a T4 and not a T180. But I've told them and they said that they would send out new docs, which they did with the same details as it was b4! Well done LV NOT...:crybaby:

My 2.0ltr petrol T4 hatchback bought in December 2007 was acquired by the dealer in November 2007. Been with two insurance companies, both have dated it 2007.

Why not call the previous owner and see who/how he had it insured?

It was Lex Autolease so don't know the individual keeper.

Tried getting an online quote from Mr T and putting in 2007 Avensis shows there is no T4 option in the returned models. Very strange

Hi there. I work for LV= and I picked up your post on this forum.

Basically, we rely on the information supplied to us by the Association of British Insurers (ABI), and if their list states that no Toyota T4 was made in 2007, we go by this. That said, the ABI are going to update this information in next months system update. If you can email your details (policy number, name) to LVCares@LV.com then we can add an instruction to your policy to update the year of manufacture once the system correction has gone live.

I hope that this helps.

Regards

Resolved

LV have accepted the proof I sent and, as LVCares said above, are getting the underwriters to change the database to include this.

Thanks to everyone for their comments and advice on both my threads about this.

Jim
