Rav4.2 Grille Choice?

Need to replace the front grill, it's heavily cracked.

Need opinions, stick with existing pre Facelift stripey design - or go post facelift honeycomb. Personally I'm torn, cost is the same.

Top one is my choice, but is it pre and post facelift. I thought they also altered the foglights from square to round on the facelifted 4.2?

I prefer the lower grille simply because the top one looks a little americanised ...

Have a look at the phoaty of wife's grille which I posted last week on that Battery replacement posting. I think it looks betterer than both standard grilles, and was begotten off eBay from Polandshire by memory.

At the risk of seeming rude, 1st one's cr@p, looks like those horrid Lexus grilles. 3rd one, no. 2nd is standard but looks best.

TTE wheels as well Kev, very nice. My first Rav4.1 freesport had them on and they looked so much better than standard 4.1 wheels.

Bob notice the difference of the front fogs on Kevs Rav and the other 2 Ravs.Would imagine Kevs was one of the last 3 doors built (shame)

Being the "Granite" trim, Clare, wheels came as standard and really are totally mint (32k miles). It's a 2004, but I was under impression the 3 doors were built well into 2005, albeit I've only seen a few '05 and only one '55...?

I have both the upper and lower TTE grills with mesh and unpainted and in Toyota TTE boxes with instructions kicking about in the garage.

Plus also the lower foglights as below with fixings and wiring (already sprayed in silver but can easily be repainted).

I skipped from a Rav4.1 to a Rav4.3, so didnt use them.

Open to offers.

I think the grills only fit the 4.2.1's if that makes sense, different part number for TTE grill for the facelifted 4.2's.

The lights would fit, might just look a bit odd with two circular lights in the lower bumper.

Think you're right....wife's is the facelifty model with the round lights, so two pairs would look daft. Mainly fancied the top / bottom grilles, but not sure if they would fit either.

I think the top one will, having been looking at them recently. You can do a global part number cross reference on a facelift grill on the toyoparts website to be sure it was available for pre facelifts. That's what I do when I'm unsure.
