Paint Protector

Ji,

I just took delivery of my t3-x and was given the hard-sell to get it suapgard'ed. Being a bit cynical I wanted to know what it was and how it works. Aparently it adheres to the existing paintwork and gives a long lasting shine. It means that dirt will slide off the paintwork and the car paintwork will be more replant to bird lime, fading in excessive sunlight and the such.

On the downside its was 350 quid which included internal stain protection.

Did anyone choose to have this done at the dealership ? Do you think it was worth it ?

Cheers

Kobie.

That stuff is awesome! i work for toyota and my valeters love it! Do agree that its a bit steep though, the polish works like if you put vaseline on your hands, the water just runs off the surface! it takes my valeters about 2 hours to do but save your self some money and do it your self like @mikes dad' says!

I've got a 2002 model and the previous owner had it done and I can't see any difference, I always polish my cars quite often so I wouldn't pay the extra, sooner spend it on something worth while.

Just as a matter of interest I just bought my wife a new Vauxhal Corsa pick it up this Sunday. You saying about being offered suapgard, the salesman at Vauxhall offered me the same thing for the Corsa £300 to have it suapgard'ed, which included internal stain protection, seems like a bit of commission for them. Hope you're happy with the car, I've had mine 4 weeks now and pleased as punch, now that I've got the Sat/Nav working properly, had to have the ETA box replaced.

I just bought my wife a new Vauxhal Corsa pick it up this Sunday.

My mum's got one of them, I think there a bit underated really, the interior is far more solid than my Avensis as you can give things a good push and they dont move or creak.

The seats could be a little more padded though but overall i'm very impressed with it.

Is yours the new facelift one? If so tell me how you get on with it, if it's ok then I might change my Avensis for a 1.4 auto one judging by how good the 1.2 easytronic we already have seems to be.

james, went to collect it on Sunday but it wouldn't start, salesman said its run out of petrol so he put a gallon of petrol in got it started and I went for a drive came back after about 3 miles turned it off tried starting wouldn't start again so I told him I wanted a replacement same spec, I was worried it had starting problem they couldn't fix. went back Thursday and this time it was ready and they had made an effort to have it right.

I bought her a Corsa 1.2 SXI engine type Z12XE. its classed as a used car it came with delivery mileage 23 miles on the clock, Vauxhall hold some back for 3 months and then they can sell them as used cars. I had the choice of 5 registrations to pick from, it comes with 12 months Network Q and 2 years 9 months Vauxhall warranty. I paid £7,499 compared to £9,000 new. I drove it to Nottingham and got to say very pleased with it (altough I prefer me Avensis) Controls are easy to use, gear change is smooth, comfortable and good all round vision. I bet the 1.4 goes really well.
