Hi there.

I have a 1992 Toyota Corolla 1.6XL, goes like a charm.

And i have the Standard Alpine stereo in it, 6W i think..

It only has 2 Speakers, and they are absolutely *******. At the front to. I am wondering how many Watts these ACTUALLY are.. So i have been fishing around Car stereo places etc looking for cheap stereos. But my stereo goes pretty good so i thought what about new Speakers? low power 8W ones.

So then how would i go installing these at the back? I'm not a CAR genius, i know my fair share, there doesnt seem to be a lot of room to install.

Any helpful suggestions would be grand.

Cheers,

MrBeef

p.s I live in New Zealand, and the car was manufactured here before the plant was shutdown.

 Hi mate - the best place to install Speakers in the back is in the original place, unless you want to install 6x9s on the parcel shelf. Even if u haven't got Speakers in the back, all cars have a standard place where they fit in the back(look on the sides). Hope this solves your problem...........

Thanks for your reply dude.

At the moment i have only front Speakers (factory standard)

Yeh there are 2 holes on the parcel shelf, and then there are two grilled pieces where i suppose "back speakers" would go, but the hole is quite small, an inch across.

Also i was reading my Alpine stereo manual and it says if i only have front Speakers and then install back Speakers i would have to take my car in to get the stereo configured properly to use the back speakers.

Cheers
